all things that apply heat to hair damage it. ceramic straighteners might damage it less because they are more efficient and require less heat than normal straighteners to achieve the same effect, but they still do cause damage. just put some product in while hair is still wet and then when you straighten it, there will be some protection for your hair

everything damages hair. l would buy some heat protection spray first. Also, you can buy the neutrogena triple moisture stuff. It has spf in it.
