it only curls, kind of, the bottom; basically it is straight except for that one pathetic curl at the bottom. I am so annoyed atm! l have short thin hair that is usually straight. Should l turn up the heat or something? Why is it being so annoying! Oh yeah I am using Ceramic Tools curling iron. l went the right way with that spoon thing so it is not a kink it is like that is all the curl I am going to get. l do not know what l did wrong. l put the middle of one little section in the spoon and dragged it to the bottom then rolled up, held for 10secs, then released. Torre l could kiss you :D THANK-YOU soooo much that helped tremendously!!!

maybe a smaller curling iron, if your hair is short.

Try using your hair straightners, thats what l do. You start at the top of your hair and then pull them down your hair and twist while youre doing it. Works really well for me. Then just put some hair spray on after. Also, when l want to curl my hair l dont condition it because it just makes it softer and the curls come out more easily. Hope this helped! x

This may sound gross but it helps if your hair is a little bit dirty! Do not wash your hair that day or the night before. Use a lot of hair spray and hold the curling iron there for 15 seconds instead of 10.

you know whats weird l have really curly hair that goes into coils naturally when l wet it and leave it to dry. but when l try straightening my hair first and then try curling it with a curling iron it doesnt work well so maybe if you try using some mousse or gel it might have the same efect as wetting the hair and drying it or maybe im just really bad at using a curling iron l guess

Spray each section of your hair with hair spray as you go and after you've curled the section of hair around the iron pull away as if you were curling a ribbon with scissors. Good Luck!

Try heating the hair for longer. Gently place your finger on the hair when on the curling to feel if all of the hair is hot. When the hair is fully heated release the hair only half way and curling back up on the iron again. Try spraying your curls with hair spray while they are still on the iron. Practice will help you have better curls overtime.
