My hair is right in between a mix of black hair and white hair. Not kinky, so it decides to be poofy.l have relaxed my hair ever since l was 12 and my hair is still in great condition. My hair length is like 4'' past my shoulders.
l have been using regular cream relaxers, but was wondering if l should switch to Japanese relaxing.
Also, l would not mind growing my hair out natural, but only my roots have the natural curl to it.When my hair gets wet, it does not really ''kink'' but punks out VERY weirdly! The ends are dead straight.l do not know how l should go about growing out my hair naturally if l decided to.Would l have to cut my hair short and start over?
If l do relax my hair, l would love to get a new haircut.Mine is the traditional long layers. Is it just as easy to keep it short?l do not have a lot of time in the morning sometimes so it is easy for me to pull it up in a clip. How long does it take to run a flat iron through a shorter haircut?Takes me 45 minutes with mine.
Thank you!

Since ur hair is transitioning to natural hair, the hair closer to ur scalp is heathier as it has not been chemically relaxed, therefore it is stronger & less susceptible to breakage than ur relaxed hair is. If u do decide to transition, fully, to natural hair.you will notice a difference in hair textures immediately. When u press ur hair, u will notice that ur natural hair will appear healthier & thicker, while ur relaxed hair will appear fried & limp..you may also experience hair shedding. Hair grows about 1/2 of an inch every month on average, so if u clip ur hair every month a few inches.than u should be able to transition to natural hair faster. You will also notice, that ur natural hair is easier to detangle than ur relaxed hair.many women become tired of their relaxed hair, & eventualy ust chop all of the relaxed hair off.but u can transition for several months before doing the ''big chop''.
Japanese straightening is extremely expensive, & may not work well on ur hair texture, btw.
If u have any more questions.feel free to email me.
Good Luck!
